I was fortunate enough to photograph Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca for the May/June issue of Miller-McCune Magazine. You can see outtakes from the shoot on my blog (dibblephoto.tumblr.com) and in the New Work section on my site (christopherdibble.com). If you’d like to read the story, check out Miller-McCune Magazine.

I made this photo during a recent shoot, but thought this would be a great cover for New York magazine. I have always admired the layout and the full page photos that are printed in the magazine. I would love to see a photo this dark on a cover.

I shot this with INTERVIEW Magazine and V Magazine in mind. V would have a harder time with the copy .. I realize I didn’t leave enough room around the model for the masthead.

Fashion Editorial Cover by Jana Cruder
All in all I think it fits the vibe of the magazines I chose. V Magazine and Interview… should of left a bit more space around the girl with gold dress image …
and know I’ll grace the cover one day soon!
Staying positive.

Father to Son - A family business.
My grandfather started a small fire extinguisher company out the back of a beat up pick up truck in a small rural town outside of Pittsburgh, PA in the mid 50′s.
This business has grown to 80+ employees and a handing down through the generations.
My parents have given me the freedom to choose a path that makes me happy, I’ve chosen not to stay within the family business.
My brother on the other hand, along with his wife have joined the family business with in the past 4 years and are rapidly approaching a point where my father will step down.
To be an outsider watching this transition unfold, I have no choice then to document it.
The slowing down of one chapter of my father’s life and the speeding up of my brothers. This is the cycle of life. I can’t imagine how my father feels. I know he has trained my brother well.
I feel that this image really encapsulates that transition I’m witnessing between them.
Photographed on location at the warehouse in Greensburg, PA
