I photographed the Electric Daisy Carnival in Vegas this weekend and was interested to see what it would be like after all the recent controversy. What I found was a lot of love, good energy and great music. Hopefully this image conveys some of that “community” feeling. (more photos here)

this assignment inspired me to shoot a food documentary piece for LA Weekly and LudoBites 6.0 ‘s Thursday night opening provided the perfect opportunity. check the full ‘behind the scenes’ gallery here.

I wanted to capture some of the carnival aspects of last weekend’s Sunset Junction festival for this assignment. The same digital cross processing technique was used for both of these shots so it’s interesting to see the different results.

Colin and Tamar will show work in the group exhibit entitled Branded Art: An Art Exhibition Benefiting The Witness to a Dream Foundation. Macy Gray will be DJing, and some amazing artists will be showing (including Mark Ryden, Shepard Fairey, Alan Aldridge..). If you are in the Los Angeles area please come on by. Above are a few of my photos from the LA Galaxy’s playoff victory over Chivas USA last season. The Galaxy eventually lost to Seattle in the MLS Finals in perhaps Beckham’s final game with the team. Full gallery here on laweekly.com
