I really enjoyed this assignment but it was definitely one of the most difficult for me. Being pregnant I wanted to make sure I showed off the belly (love handles and all) and did something that was a little out of the ordinary for a pregnant shot. I was immediately drawn to Lauren Ward’s work. I absolutely love how natural, spontaneous, and fun her work is. There is also a lot of motion which I wanted to really pull from. It was fun to try something different.

If your kid ever tells you you’re uncool (years from now, of course), just show him/her these pictures. I love the use of your hair in both shots.
