High Contrast – Jana Cruder
For this assignment, I was inspired by the words “stay away from a perfectly exposed image” & deep dark shadows. Most times all I do is worry about how perfect my exposure is because in digital many times you can’t afford to be off at all. For this assignment, I purposely underexposed my images for the effect. It was a dark, cold and rainy Malibu day. We were shooting in a cold, dark and empty Malibu home. I went with it and brought the atmosphere and darkness into the image by underexposing the image I think the end result and effect worked in favor of the fashion story.

I think the underexposing of the picture really benefits the photograph! It adds so much mystery and energy. The photos look dreamy. Really well done!
