Well, FINALLY – an assignment from me. Its been really busy and now I’m on vacation. Its crazy though: my eyes have been constantly looking for ORANGE for this assignment. I decided to post a couple images from my 2nd day in Seattle. Ive ended up with a lot of “orange-centric” images so far.
Re: my film assignment – I know what Im going to do, Im just waiting for my model…coming soon!
Claire – fun – would love to see your face if there is an out-take.
Tamar – Really lovely. Soft and really great light.
Wesley – Love the amount of space you left on this. Really nice to see so much of the environment.
Blake – ugh. I love it. It so comforting and nostalgic.
Jen – Really makes me want to crack that ice!
Colin – It reminds me of some Propoganda poster. What’s the story?
Jennie – This makes me want to know what she’s thinking.

The thing I love about this assignment is how every person thought about the color orange in a different way. I wouldn’t have ever thought about in terms of light like Blake and Wesley did, or leaves like Jenn did.

Orange can be so much fun!
Chris- love all the colors in this. moody seattle is so pretty.
jennie- cute idea. i love that if you put this with like a billion other photographers i could pick out that it was you right away!
Colin- super funny. It reminds me of the guy from Heroes “Hero” who always puts his fist in the air.
Blake- sorry for standing in the light spot while you were trying to shoot.
Wesley- great way to use orange. i’m a sucker for images with space like that!
Tamar- such an awesome color palette you have going on. that orange hat was a great idea. ok but the baby freaks me out.
claire- you can juggle??!! cute idea!

my photo: artist ichiro endo had just finished his live art piece (which included painting, peeling and slamming into a wall of art while yelling “hello” and “go for future!”) in a way it was really uplifting and also had dabs of orange.
chris, like the top image w/ the hint of orange in the reflection.
jennie, at first i thought she was writing on the table… you’ve photo has a definite mood to it.
jennifer, there is a lot of emotion in those leaves.
blake, simple and to the point (glad jennifer got out of your light).
wesley, nice one and you are right at home w/ the next assignment.
tamar, love them. the close-up is amazing.
claire, clever self portrait.
looking forward to seeing all of the “after dark” images!
