    I love everyone’s work!
They’re all SO beautiful. I loved the collaboration and the shot of Blake in the fog is beyond breathtaking. THe shot of the girl from Tamar was so lovely – the light, the little feet at the top of the frame, all of it I just loved.
My contribution is a job. It’s not as “creative” as I would like to have shown, but it was a shoot where I was consciously thinking of pulling back and creating space and showing some scale in a way that was not usual for me.
I’ve also included another shot – a more creative one – just because I had it and wanted to share it with you guys!

    oh damn,
I can’t believe it left out my comments about Claire’s pic in the previous – my bad. I loved the giant rabbit – seriously, made me laugh outloud it was so quirky and cute.
and the best part was, it still looks like YOU – your style is there through and through.
    :)

I agree with Carolyn…I think everyone did a great job on these, I think the best so far. Carolyn and Jenn…The space really makes your images so meditative in really different ways. They are both so calming to look at though. I love all that space! The collaboration is great..It’s a great spin on the assignment and executed incredibly well. I love the Rabbit and it definitely looks large! I can’t wait to see everyone elses.

yeah, love the feet poking in from the top Tamar. Also enjoying how these are making it hard to tell how big or small the subjects are

eve is a 50′s housewife detouring her midnight dip in the backyard pool to grab some fruit, amazing. the curlers and color are really doing it

  6. Jennie Says:

ahha, thanks Ryan! It was fun to get creative. I also love all the work for this assignment. Alexa the fishing pole and boat shot is mesmerizing

    Kudos all around -
1st: I have a shot I wanted to use for this, but I am not allowed until it’s been published. This was a shot I took just after in NY on the most amazing stormy looking day – no rain fell though. I’ve always been in love with the NYC water towers.
2nd: Carolyn – Fisherman – great job – reminds me of Misrach, but better and you KNOW how much I love your group shots.
3rd: Claire – I love your bunny. It just makes me smile.
4th: Blake in the fog – always love a foggy image with someone.
    Good job ya’lls!

  8. Christopher Dibble Says:

forgot to mention Tamars feet pokin in – love it.

Chris I think the sky looks so pretty in your photo. There is something really peaceful about a lot of these scale photos.

Anyway I am excited to see the photo posted that you are getting published. What mag is it for?

  10. Christopher Dibble Says:

Its a double portrait I shot for The Advocate. It was really great, because this scale assignment was really at the forefront of my mind when I was shooting – it came from our of my subconscious into my conscious and really helped me to shoot a bit differently. I think this group is really great and is already helping me be a better shooter.

Tamar that photo is incredible. Did you use Photoshop for that? Where are you shooting from?
